I still remember for the first day i being in Ipoh Starbucks, i was late @_@ !! cause i never expected that IPOH had Jamming in the morning -__- due to everyone were going to work as well... actually not late but just i reach there on time... the exactly time. Being a barista especially the one to do Opening cannot be reach on time or late ... but the first day i reach there on 8.30am... which the Shift Manager there " Shazry " told me that i reach there on time ... and asked me not to do it again. After that, i get to know " Sook Kuan " according to the information from other partners She's the most senior barista in ipoh branch Starbucks, also she's an Ex-Supervisor here, i was lucky because she's the first partner who thaught me everything about Opening. There's quite a lot of thing I have to remember for opening, from the Bar station to outside of the shop till the BOH " Back of house " a place where we put foods and stocks, all of it is actually have to done by 1 Opening Parter only him/herself...
After set up everything for Opening, then started my work... due to I'm the new partner there and this my first job... so i didn't know anything about Customer Service or the F & B, so I've to learn all these thing from today. I've to memorize the Foods' name in the Pastry Case and also the drinks' name on the menu Board. For the first day i worked at here.. i gave myself 80% out of 100% .... why 80%? haha... cause the first day I've made some mistake, i reach the store not in a proper time and i burn a " Croissant " !! haha....well it just the wrong step i heat up the croissant, so i burn the croissant into a Dark Ash, LOL.... but lucky that i didn't get scold from either sook kuan or Shazry ... but they helped to figure out my problem and teach me again, which i felt they are friendly and willing to teach me ...
So that was my first day experience in Starbucks, after that i get to know all the partners in Ipoh Strabucks, " Carene - my store manager , Siti - the second person who do opening with me, Suba - a funny indian girl, Firhad - Malay + Chinese Mix, Khevin - The one who always do Clossing, Thilaga - The second Shift Supervisor, GOH - one who taught me for clossing and Nomi - she is Siti's cousin ". Total of 10 partnes in Ipoh which i get to know them on last week.
On Sunday, I received a call from Thila, she told me that my Training have changed to 14th !! which means the next 2 days I've to go for training in Cameron, so i was busy for preparing on going there.... and 14th ~ 17th i were having my training on Cameron branch. Within 2 days of training over there, i get to know another gang of partners =D ... Kurma, Terranec, Ken, Rozen, Nick, Fara, Izwan, Boey and Sarika !! all of them were so so friendly to me, and happy to know all of them and a great experience in Cameron Branch =) although it just shortly of 2 days in Cameron but I'm real happy XD, Ken and Rozen were the 2 new Barista who had the class training together with me, we spent most of the time together in the class XD ... Kumar the Coffee Master, the one who gave lecture in the class, although i didn't saw his Black Apron, but he seems really pro on making coffee and he know a lot about coffee.
This (BTB) " Barista Training Book " all the barista has to complete it within 1 month... see how thick for this book !!! total of 18 Chapters !! more than 400 pages
we used 2 days in Cameron Training, from 10am ~ 6pm the class, to complete 4 chapters below.

-Communicating About Coffee
-Art of Espresso
- Service at Starbucks
That's the 4 chapters I've completed so far... the rest of it have to complete that in own store within 1 month !! ... like assignment !! XD...
This BTB is not mine, my BTB still haven't get it yet.... maybe I'll get the latest version and not like this =) this 1 is temporally i borrowed from my partner Firhad for my training classes in Cameron use...
